This is a
fast paced, in depth course on developing and understanding the newest
addition to Microsoft’s development family using ASP.NET and the .NET
framework. This course focus’ on building skills the web developer
possesses and leveraging that knowledge to create the next generation
of web technologies while concentrating on building solid fundamental
knowledge in the .NET framework and architecture.
Upon
completion of this course, the student will be knowledgeable in
Microsoft’s new .NET framework and comfortable applying .NET based,
ASP solutions, in a business setting. The student will be able to
increase user interaction by making web pages more dynamic. The
student will perform processing expertly using an event based
server-side processing model inherent to ASP.NET. In addition, the
student will learn comprehensively how to create Active Server Pages
within the new Visual Studio IDE. Within the Active Server Page
environment under Internet Information Server 5.0, the student will be
able to expertly use the intrinsic ASP.NET objects, query databases,
logically partition application code, and understand the sophisticated
architecture behind Windows N-Tier .NET application development.
