For UNIX- and Linux-experienced users, networking specialists, and system administrators who want fast-track preparation for the RHCE exam. In addition, server system administrators learn to handle the technical responsibilities of managing a Red Hat Linux system.

Red Hat training and certification for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 is not just valuable for those professionals who will be working with it immediately. It is also valuable to professionals working on earlier releases of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. While Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 does introduce new capabilities and technologies, the core system administration tasks one must learn and master as system administrator are far more similar to previous releases than different. Consequently, those who train on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 should adjust easily to earlier releases, while also having an understanding of the potential and opportunity that Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 presents.

System administrators with experience on operating systems such as Windows NT, Windows 2000, and NetWare who are not familiar with Linux or UNIX should take the Standard Track of RH033, RH133, and RH253 before sitting for the exam.

The prerequisites are important! Participants arriving without a large portion of these prerequisites will make less than optimal progress in the training and will be unlikely to pass the certification exam. Please do not sign up for RH300 unless you are experienced with systems administration or are a power user in UNIX / Linux environments. .

On completion of this course the delegate will have gained practical experience of networking and securing Red Hat Linux systems.
